The book discusses the processes and problems of learning in the triadic framework of learner–curriculum–teacher, aiming to help educators develop newer insights into the nature and problems of the learner, and enable them to develop their own approaches to teaching to improve learning. It examines the concept of learning in the wider context of school curriculum and education, and explores the philosophical, physiological and psychological perspectives on how people learn. The book also outlines the conceptual and practical interrelationship between learning and teaching, the different modes of teaching, and the teacher's role in fostering creativity and teaching children how to learn. It presents learning disabilities and envisions future classrooms as liberated, creative, democratic, collaborative and humanistic, advocating for Learning Resource Centres over traditional classrooms.
