Young people represent change, hope, and progress amid global challenges, including technological shifts, market changes, and evolving family dynamics and cultural practices. This book on Adolescence Education is vital due to the significant impact that skills and behaviors acquired during this developmental stage can have on future prospects. It aims to explore the broader context of youth experiences, offering a multi-disciplinary perspective on adolescence and detailing its evolution. The text specifically addresses the challenges faced by adolescents in India arising from societal changes, while identifying key issues that influence their lives and incorporating insights into adolescence education. Additionally, it reviews the existing Adolescence Education Programme (AEP) and highlights essential features for its effective implementation, alongside relevant UN and civil society initiatives. The book also provides insights from various adolescent program executions and reflects on the realities faced by young people. This resource is designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Education, Psychology, and Sociology, and also serves those studying Psychology at the +2 level.
